On Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 11:59 p.m., police, firefighters and emergency medical services responded to intersection of Three Notch Road and Trapp Road in Dameron, for the serious motor vehicle collision with one vehicle overturned and one possibly trapped. An EMT returning home along with a Fire Chief for the Mechanicsville Volunteer Fire Department, were both in the area when the collision occurred. They arrived on scene and confirmed a two vehicle T-bone style collision with one overturned. Firefighters from Ridge, Bay District, and NAS Webster Field responded to the scene. A helicopter was requested for the operator of the Porcshe, who was suffering from a serious arm injury. Maryland State Police Helicopter Trooper 7 landed nearby. The operator of the Porsche was flown to an area trauma center and the adult male passenger denied transport. Preliminary investigation determined the 2022 Porsche Cayenne SUV was travelling Southbound on Route 235, with the 2020 RAM 1500 travelling Northbound on Route 235 when the RAM 1500 attempted to make a left hand turn onto Trapp Road, directly into the path of the Porsche which resulted in a T-bone style collision.
