One In Custody and No Injuries Reported After 3 Hour Long Barricade Situation in Lexington Park

On Monday, September 15, 2025, at approximately 10:30 p.m., police responded to the 45000 block of Kingfisher Court in Lexington Park, for the reported domestic situation with shots fired. Police arrived on the scene to find the 911 callers were safely out of the residence, with the two reporting the male suspect was still inside the residence and had fired a gun multiple times. Nearby residents reported hearing at least 6 gunshots. Deputies and personnel from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and their Emergency Services Team, along with Troopers from the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack, and K9 teams from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist during the incident which resulted in a 3+ hour long standoff/barricade situation. Emergency medical services including multiple Advanced life support medically personnel were dispatched to stage nearby incase needed. The two homeowners escaped with no physical injuries and were transported by police to a nearby command post as they began attempting to contact and negotiate with the subject. At least two nearby residences were evacuated for safety precautions. After nearly 4 hours, the suspect into custody without further incident.
