UPDATE 4/19/2021 @ 10:00 a.m.: The suspected vehicle was located and the suspected driver in the fatal hit-and-run collision has been identified as Conrad Leland Young Jr., 32 of Mechanicsville. Charges are currently under review with the Office of the State’s Attorney Office for St. Mary’s County. The victim has been identified as Anthony Lawrence Ford, 19 of no fixed address. On June 30, 2013, Conrad Leland Young, Jr., was arrested for DWI in St. Mary’s County by Deputy Lance. On December 13, 2014, Conrad Leland Young Jr., was arrested for DWI in St. Mary’s County by Deputy K. Molitor. On May 25 13, 2015, Conrad Leland Young Jr., was arrested for DWI in St. Mary’s County by Trooper Varesko. UPDATE: On Friday, April 16, 2021 at 6:13 a.m., deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 27000 block of Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville for the report of a person lying on the ground off the southbound shoulder of the roadway. Upon arrival, deputies located an unidentified male lying in the grass who was pronounced deceased.
