Lexington Park Man who was Charged with Numerous Armed Robberies Arrested After Escape from Treatment Facility

UPDATE 3/2/2022: On February 22, 2022, Cpl. Pontorno of the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 40000 block of Henry Lane in Charlotte Hall, for the reported Escape. Investigation determined David William Hower II, 27, of Lexington Park, (a detainee from the St. Mary’s County Detention and Rehabilitation Center) escaped the treatment facility via an exit door at the establishment. Hower was quickly located and he became uncooperative and would not follow instructions. Hower was arrested and charged with Escape and Resist/Interfere with Arrest. 2/9/2022: On February 9, 2022, detectives from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division arrested David William Hower Jr., age 27 of Lexington Park, for numerous robberies. Hower was charged with the following: Armed Robbery (three counts) Assault First Degree (three counts) Theft (three counts) Investigation determined on December 18, 2021, Hower entered the Papa John’s Pizza located in the 21600 block of Great Mills Road, in Lexington Park armed with a knife, and demanded money.
