Two Flown to Area Trauma Center After Serious Motor Vehicle Collision in California

On Monday, December 7, 2020, at approximately 1:18 p.m., police, fire and rescue personnel responded to the area of Three Notch Road and Wildewood Parkway in California, for the motor vehicle accident reported serious with one subject trapped. Crews arrived on the scene to find three vehicles in the roadway and confirmed one subject heavily trapped. Firefighters from Hollywood and Bay District Volunteer Fire Departments extricated one victim in under 10 minutes. Two victims were transported from the scene to the Maryland State Police Aviation Hangar at the St Mary’s County Regional Airport in Hollywood, where Maryland State Police Helicopter Trooper 7 transported two patients to an area trauma center. Two victims were transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries. At least one subject signed care refusal forms on the scene. The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the collision. Updates will be provided when they become available.
