UPDATE: State Fire Marshal Investigating House Fire in Waldorf That Injured Eleven Fire Fighters

UPDATE 19/5/2019 @ 3:30 A.M.: On Friday, October 4, 2019, at approximately 4:50 p.m, firefighters from Waldorf and surrounding departments responded to 10386 Chamberlin Court East in Waldorf, for the reported structure fire. The incident is not suspicious in nature, and the cause is under investigation by the Office of the State Fire Marshal. The damage to the two story single family dwelling and contents was estimated at  $ 475,000. The fire originated in the area of the rear deck, and was discovered by a neighbor. Over 75 firefighters responded, and it took approximately 25 minutes to bring the fire under control. Eleven Firefighters from Charles and Prince Georges counties were transported to local hospitals for non life-threatening injuries. The home was occupied by two adults and a young child, who are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross. Anyone with any additional information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
