UPDATE: Three Injured After Early Morning House Fire in Lusby, Cause of Fire Remains Under Investigation

UPDATE: On Thursday, October 29, 2020, at approximately 3:15 a.m., forty-five firefighters from Calvert, St. Mary’s and Charles County responded to 7305 Saw Mill Road in Lusby, for the reported structure fire. Crews arrived on the scene to find a two-story wood framed single family residence with fire showing. The owner/occupants have been identified as the Harrod Family. The estimated loss of structure and contents is valued at $200,000 The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. The fire started on the first floor in the area of the kitchen and living room. Three occupants of the home were able to escape by jumping from a second floor window, with all three adults transported from the scene to Calvert Memorial Hospital, and then transferred to MedStar Washington Hospital Center with burns to the upper body along other injuries. It was initially reported that a fourth occupant was missing and was last seen on the second floor. That person was later located and was not at the residence at the time of the fire.
